A two-day course covering aspects of communication, handling conflict, employment law, team building, styles of leadership and motivation. This course is aimed at those with a senior position within a racing yard or stud.

The course isn’t just a ‘sit down and listen’ course; delegates are encouraged to get involved in discussion and practical tasks.
This course is run over two days and covers aspects of: Communication, Handling conflict, Employment law, Motivation, Team building, Styles of leadership.
The costs for this course are fully funded for anyone already working within the industry. People working outside racing can apply privately at a cost of £352. B&B accommodation can also be provided at an additional cost of £40.

This course is suitable for Head Grooms as well as Assistant Trainers.

The Yard Managers course is suitable for those who are wanting to progress their career and take on more responsibility. Taking on a supervisory role can be a demanding job. Not only will the position require you to communicate up and down the management team, motivate and lead the team and delegate, you’ll also be responsible for internal team relationships and stages of team formation.
