Racing Excellence
Inexperienced jockeys benefit from structured coaching during race riding. It helps them develop and improve their skills. The Racing Excellence series provides this opportunity. It includes 74 races across seven series. These cover both Flat and Jump codes, as well as All Weather racing.
Jockey coaches attend each race. They provide expert guidance on race riding, tactics, fitness, professionalism, and conduct.
Jockeys earn points for winning or placing. They also earn points for skill, professionalism, and conduct. The jockey with the highest total points wins the series.
These series are open to jockeys who have ridden fewer than 10 winners.
Jockeys may carry a whip for safety reasons only. However, they must not use it for correction or encouragement.
